About Cyprus

Cyprus is an Eastern Mediterranean Island situated at the crossroads of three continents, Europe, Africa and Asia. Impressive prehistoric monuments and archaeological sites are left behind to be admired by natives and tourists alike due to the Island’s strategic location and unique history throughout the centuries.

An enchanting Island in its own right with more than 10000 years of history and legend Cyprus will delight the visitor’s senses and please the most discriminating tourist. It’s unique topography and magnificent landscape of graphic mountainous villages, natural springs, sandy beaches, and green valleys will not only calm the spirit but it will also mesmerize the mind’s eye.

Rows and rows of vineyards and green olive trees on its gorgeous landscape are amongst old stone villages. Graphical villages, where time seems still, and the art of making sweet wine is second nature. In Cyprus you can count on 340 days of breathtaking sunshine and the fairest of weather. Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, chose to be born in one of Cyprus’ most beautiful beaches, emerging from the wave foams in all her blinding beauty.

The Goddess made her home here and travelers throughout the world feasted their imaginations on the legends that surround her. Visiting the ancient sites will for sure transport one’s mind to centuries ago and make him relive the glory that was once part of daily life here tracing the steps of heroes, Kings and Villains.

Cyprus is a modern country that recently joined the European Union as a full member. Its culture is a great compliment merging nicely with the rest of the European countries. The majority of the population (82%) is Greek speaking. The rest, mostly Turkish Cypriots, live in the Northern part, which has been occupied since 1974 by the Invading Turkish forces. Cyprus was once a British colony. As a result over 50% of the population speaks English. Knowledge of Russian, French, German and other European languages is rising due to heavy tourism.

The company headquarters are located in the southern coast of the island, in the second largest city of Limassol. Limassol has developed into an international and lively shore resort with a multicultural aspect. Backed by the majestic Troodos Mountains, Limassol consists of three major areas, all having access to the sandy/pebbly beaches where water sports are a favorite pass time.

The sandy beaches of "Lady’s Mile" to the west and "Governor’s Beach" to the east are within short driving distance. Places of interest in and around the city include the ancient village of “Amathounta”, the glorious setting of the ancient Kourion Theatre, the Colossi Medieval Castle and Limassol Castle, which houses the Cyprus Medieval Museum.

Limassol is also the city of choice for those seeking a lively and varied nightlife with its wide range of taverns, restaurants, bars, discos and nightclubs.  The most popular area for young people and those that are young at heart is the lively tourist area known as Potamos Yermasoyia.

The Poet once described Cyprus as a golden green leaf tossed in the Mediterranean by the Gods.
